Improve Your Oral Health
At Northland Dental, we understand that tooth extractions can be a daunting experience for many patients. That's why our dentists try and prioritize patient comfort and strive to provide a stress-free environment.
We only recommend extractions when it is necessary, such as in cases of severe tooth damage or problematic wisdom teeth. Our team will assess your oral health and discuss available treatment options with you before making any recommendations.
If extraction is deemed necessary, we will strive to ensure that the procedure is as painless as possible and provide you with aftercare instructions to promote quick healing.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt in the back corners of a normal adult mouth, usually between 17 and 25 years of age. Unfortunately, this last set of molars have the potential for problems.
This third set of teeth is not always functional, and it has the potential to crowd out other teeth as they grow. They may also interfere with your oral hygiene. In these cases, your dentist may advise you to have them removed.
Repairing Excessive Damage
In most cases, your dentist will work to save a tooth whenever possible. However, there are circumstances, such as injury, gum disease, or excessive decay, which require extraction.
If you need a damaged tooth extracted, your dentist will go over tooth replacement options with you, which may include dental bridges, dental crowns, and dentures.
